Surgery Moved Up

Subject: Surgery Date Change
Just wanted to let everyone know that Kims Hysterectomy sugery date has been moved up from July 11th to July 2nd. There was a cancellation and Kim's Dr is having a baby and has been having contractrations, so they decided to go for it next week. As far as I am concerned it is good news. It will allow Kim to start her 5 year treatment of the Aromatase Inhibitor a week earlier. Probably doesn't make that much of a difference but it makes me feel better. Kim is the first scheduled surgery of the day at 7:30, so it will be an early morning. They will be using a Robot for the surgery and the expected stay is only 23 hours, so she should be home Thursday if all goes well.

The skin where we thought there was an infection looks MUCH better. I think the fluid must have been there from the start because it has always been much darker than it is now.

Praise: An earlier surgery which will allow me to be home for 4 days after the surgery, starting the AI a week earlier. No infection.
